Half way through his third week at the Club, nib Newcastle Knight Connor Watson is settling into life as a red and blue.

He says he's still getting used to all the new faces, but being from the Central Coast is also enjoying some familiarity.

“I grew up playing with some of these boys and versing them, so the transition into that hasn’t been too hard,” Watson told Knights TV.

“There are still a lot of people that I don’t know though, particularly the staff and the people that work in the office.”

Watson maintains he’ll be working hard on building new combinations this pre-season.

While the jury’s still out on who will be the starting halves, the 21-year-old already has a little bit of history with now teammate Brock Lamb that could be handy.

“He is pretty cheeky Brock,” laughed Watson.

“I versed Brock a little bit when I was younger and we have known each other for a while.

“He is a great player and he showed how good he was last year, I think we’ll see his game go to a whole new level with more experience in the team.”
