nib Newcastle Knights co-captain Sione Mata’utia will be offering a ‘helping hand’ at the McDonald’s Restaurant, Charlestown Square food court this Saturday celebrating McHappy Day in the Hunter.

As the largest annual fundraiser for Ronald McDonald House Charities, McHappy Day aims to raise awareness and vital funds to ensure families can continue to stay together, providing a home away from home for seriously ill or injured children being treated at a nearby hospital.

With two dollars from every Big Mac going directly to RMHC on the day, customers can also buy a two dollar Helping Hand, a pair of Silly Socks for three dollars or simply make a gold coin donation via the buckets in restaurant.

Now in its 26th year, McHappy Day has raised more than $40 million to date and, in 2017 hopes to raise a record-breaking $4.1million.

Don’t miss your chance to meet Sione, receive a signed McDonald’s mini football* and be part of all the fun for a good cause!
