It was a glamorous arrival for players, coaches, staff and partners on Thursday evening at Wests City for the nib Newcastle Knights’ Danny Buderus Medal.

There are a number of awards set to be given across the three grades, with the prestigious Danny Buderus Medal to conclude the evening.

“It is great to wind up the year and get together for one last night,” Shaun Kenny-Dowall said.

Brock Lamb agreed it had been a big year.

“It is good to come together, regroup and go again next year,” he commented.

And who will win the Danny Buderus Medal is anyone’s guess?

“Daniel Saifiti or probably Rossy (Nathan Ross),” said Mitch Barnett.

Sione Mata'utia added, “There is a few but can’t go past Daniel Saifiti, he had an awesome year, same as Gags (Dane Gagai)."
