nib Newcastle Knights forward Daniel Saifiti met with a specialist on Tuesday after suffering a shoulder injury in last weekend’s match.
Saifiti requires a shoulder reconstruction and will undergo surgery within the next fortnight.
The surgery will unfortunately rule Daniel Saifiti out of the Fiji World Cup squad, however he will be able to commence pre-season on light duties when the team returns in November.
Saifiti had played in every NRL match this season, and he represented Fiji in the Pacific Test in May this year.
