The nib Newcastle Knights have produced some exciting and close matches against the Canberra Raiders over the last few years, including an encounter in Round 10 with a 14-point win.

“We seem to always go well against them, there’s been a few close games,” said dummy-half Danny Levi.

“Last year we drew with them and they beat us right on the buzzer in golden point and this year we got them so we know they are going to be out for revenge.

“We have got to be able to match that and hopefully we go alright.”

After a loss last week and their finals hopes on the line, the Raiders will be desperate to get the win for a chance to make the top eight.

“Every team at this point of the season will be fighting for those finals spots,” explained Levi.

“We are out there to finish the season well and we just want to play our best and get a win.”

The 21-year-old maintains last week’s loss against the Melbourne Storm was a major lesson for a young squad.

“It is something us younger players really want to aspire to be because they’re on top for a reason,” Levi stated.

“They are able to grind out a full 80-minute performance and that’s something we are working on doing.

“They have got a lot of quality players and a lot of good experience and hopefully in years to come, we will be a side like that.”
