It was an arm wrestle of a match in the first half againt the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, as the nib Newcastle Knights found themselves soaking up plenty of pressure on their own line.
The highlight came in the 15th minute, when the Bulldogs made a break down the right edge and the Knights' defensive line was wide open.
It should have been a fairly simple try for Aiden Tolman in the next play as he received the ball five metres out from the line with no one directly in front of him.
Fullback Nathan Ross came to the rescue though, putting in a massive tackle on a prop that weighs at least ten kilograms more than him.
The Knights didn't concede any more tries that half, and it set the platform for a strong second half resurgence.
