The nib Newcastle Knights are proud to announce the Indigenous jersey auction has raised more than $5,000 for the St Vincent de Paul Society NSW.

Following the win against the Canberra Raiders at McDonald Jones Stadium, the Club auctioned off all match worn jerseys.

“We were honoured to partner with St Vincent de Paul Society NSW for this year’s NRL Indigenous Round,” Knights COO Wendy Carmichael said this week.

“We were also delighted to fundraise more than $5,000 through our online auction, to help Vinnies programs in our region.”

The St Vincent de Paul joined forces with the Knights in the NRL’s Indigenous Round as match day partner, which included a bucket collection for the Winter Appeal.

The St Vincent de Paul Society’s Vision is to shape a more just and compassionate society by respecting dignity, sharing hope and encouraging others to take control of their own destiny.

Vinnies provide essential Local Area Coordination services to those transitioning to the National Disability Insurance Scheme, and as a part of this help Aboriginal people with disability access vital support services.
