While it might have been a Gold Coast Titans home game in Round 9, the crowd of red and blue supporters in the eastern stand were just as loud - if not louder - than the home support during the match.
Before the match over 100 of the Club's Queensland Members were treated to a sideline tour as the players warmed up and after the final siren they joined the team for a post-match function.
It was a great opportunity to get autographs, photos and ask the players and coach questions.
"The boys are so approachable and they love having a chat," die hard Queensland Member Kellie Davis told Knights TV at the post-match function.
"We were doing the Newcastle chant during the game and we support the boys through and through."
Pete Mata'utia said he appreciated the loyalty of the Club's fans in Queensland, and was also glad for the opportunity to meet some of them after the match."
"To see this many supporters outside of Newcastle is great for us," he said.
"I couldn't believe when we were warming up for the game, all of these Knights supporters walked out of the tunnel.
"The boys appreciated it, and we really love the support we get from Queensland."
