It wasn't a breath-taking try or crunching tackle that was chosen as the nib Inspiring Moment of the Week in Round 8.

Instead, the honour went to Mitch Barnett, who is slowly building a reputation as a seriously tough player.

Going down with what looked like a very painful ankle injury early in the second half, Barnett struggled to walk it off.

Many other players would have left the field of play, but Barnett lasted another ten minutes despite being in obvious pain.

He managed several tackles, and also placed an offload that almost set Nathan Ross up for a try.

What is the nib Inspiring Moment of the Week?

Proud Principal Sponsor nib health funds have teamed up with the Newcastle Knights to showcase ‘nib Inspiring Moments’ from games during the 2017 season.

Whether it be a great try or a try saving tackle, Knights TV will share the most inspirational moment each week for the remainder of the season.

Like your favourite ‘inspiring moment’ on the official nib Newcastle Knights Facebook page and show your support of the team or individual player's effort each week.

At season's end, the three ‘inspiring moments of the week’ with the most likes on Facebook will be put to a fan vote in order to be awarded the ‘nib Inspiring Moment of the Year’ at the Club's annual Awards Night.

One lucky fan who selects the ‘nib Inspiring Moment of the Year’, will win a 2017 nib Newcastle Knights signed jersey. So make sure you show your support and like your ‘Inspiring Moment of the Week’ on Facebook.
