Footy action is back again at McDonald Jones Stadium this weekend, as the nib Newcastle Knights take on the Sydney Roosters on Good Friday.

There will be plenty of Easter fun and entertainment in Round 7 and you can even catch the Easter Bunny cheering on the Knights with a basket full of prizes and giveaways.

A range of activities will be on offer for the Red Energy Family Fun Day when the gates open at 3.30pm.

Fans can get in the action at the Knights Fan Zone with the Red Energy kicking photo booth, there’ll be a chance to test out your football kicking ability and why not pick up a Red Energy thunder stick while you’re there.

Meanwhile, at the northern end of the ground, the Easter bunny will be hopping its way around the crowd on the Red Energy Family Hill with stacks of Good Friday goodies to enjoy.

Plus, there’ll be an exciting SMS competition to win a year’s supply of electricity (T&C’s apply) all thanks to match day sponsor Red Energy.

The Easter fun will continue with halftime entertainment. You can cheer on junior local leaguers who are taking part in the Mini League Easter Football Race.

With the help of the Easter Bunny, Red Energy balls will be lined up on the halfway mark before kids get to chase them down to win a major prize or runner up prizes.

High-ball half time is also back again where two fans will be selected to catch flying balls shot from a cannon high into the sky with the winner to take home a prize.

Knights fanatics should get themselves down to the Fan Bay, Bay 2 in the eastern grandstand. There will be a suite upgrade prize as part of the nib Fan Bay. Two lucky ticket holders will be auto selected and provided two seats into the nib corporate suite to watch the main game.

All nib members also receive 30 per cent discount off that entire bay which provides an exclusive invitation to reserve a seat in the new ‘nib Fan Bay’. In the bay, nib customers will have access to exclusive giveaways, freebies and opportunities to win money-can’t-buy experiences with the Newcastle Knights.

And calling all passionate Knights Members and fans, be sure to raise the roof at the Knights Supporter Bay.

The Castle, located in Bay 1 of the Andrew Johns Grandstand, will have access to unreserved seating where everyone is welcome to stand, sing, dance, wave banners and cheer on the red and blue to victory.

Members, don’t forget to visit the new Member Bar located on level two of the eastern stand. This Member exclusive area is open from 3.30pm and offers complete bar facilities, TV screens showing all the on-field action, and a gourmet menu.

Don’t just get in on the footy action, get in on the game day action!
