Seven players from the nib Newcastle Knights have been selected in the NSW Origin Under 16 and Under 18 squads.

Undefeated so far for the season, the Knights 16s side have four players chosen to represent the state.

From the Central Coast Bradman Best and Jaron Purcell, Newcastle’s Cooper Jenkins as well as Nabiac’s Harry Croker have all been named in the side.

And it will be a family affair, with Harry’s brother Matthew Croker also selected for the Under 18s squad.

The 31-strong 18s side will also see the inclusion of Knights juniors Brock Gardner and Phoenix Crossland, both from Newcastle.

Both squads will be under the lead of true blue legends Brad Fittler as head coach and Newcastle’s own Danny Buderus as assistant coach.

The NSW under 16s side will be cut ahead of their clash with Queensland in the curtain raiser to Origin 1, while the NSW under 18s side will be reduced ahead of their encounter with Queensland in the curtain raiser to Origin 2.
