nib Newcastle Knights coach Nathan Brown has named his extended squad for the round one clash against the New Zealand Warriors.
In the first 17, five players are set to make their Club debuts while two of those will also be making their NRL debuts.
New recruits Jamie Buhrer (Player #279) and Josh Starling (Player #281) will start in the forward pack, while Ken Sio (Player #280) will be on the wing.
Sam Stone (Player #282) and Luke Yates (Player #283) are two local juniors that have been named on the bench.
In other selection news, Dylan Phythian has secured the fullback position after two strong trial match performances and 20-year-old Brock Lamb will partner captain Trent Hodkinson in the halves.
Anthony Tupou is also a possibility of making his Club debut, with the veteran forward being named 21st man.
