The Newcastle Knights welcome McDonald Jones as an official partner, after the home building company signed a three-year sponsorship with the Club.

McDonald Jones will be represented on the sleeves of the Knights playing jersey, commencing in season 2017.

"This is a proud occasion for the Newcastle Knights as we team up with McDonald Jones, the number one home builder in the Hunter and New South Wales,” Knights CEO Matt Gidley said.

“We are both celebrating our 30th year in 2017, and we look forward to building this new partnership.

"Thank you McDonald Jones for your support.”

McDonald Jones looks forward to partnering with an iconic Newcastle brand.

“McDonald Jones is delighted to form a partnership with the Newcastle Knights in 2017, we look forward to an exciting year,” McDonald Jones’ Managing Director Andrew Helmers said.

“As part of our commitment to the football club, we have helped grow the red and blue army by purchasing 500 memberships for our staff, we see our involvement as an active partner, rather than just a sponsor.

“Partnering with the Newcastle Knights aligns with our strategies, it will assist in continuing to build awareness for McDonald Jones nationally.”

McDonald Jones is one of Australia’s leading new home builders, offering new homes and house and land packages.

“Both McDonald Jones and the Newcastle Knights celebrate 30 years next year, we’re both proudly born and bred in the Hunter Region so I can’t think of a better way to show our support for Newcastle than through supporting this great sporting team,” Chairman Bill McDonald added.

“This commitment complements our sponsorship of the stadium and now we can support the Knights at home and away.”

Representatives from the Knights and McDonald Jones formally announced the new partnership on Thursday morning at McDonald Jones Stadium in Newcastle.
