Newcastle Knights utility back Nathan Ross has signed a two-year contract extension with the Club, keeping him at the Knights until at least 2018.

“I’m absolutely over the moon with the contract extension,” Ross explains.

“To know that I’m going to be here for another two years is a reward, I think, for all the hard work.

“It just goes to show that if you chase your goals hard enough, then you’ll get there.”

Ross made his NRL debut late in season 2015 and has played 22 NRL games.

“It would be hard to find a more enthusiastic player than Nathan,” coach Nathan Brown said.

“He is a great story and shows you can achieve your dreams by working hard.

“It is really pleasing he is rewarded with a contract extension and we look forward to his further development at the Club.”

At 27-years of age, Ross eyes a long future at the Knights.

“For me in these next two years, I’ll be aiming for another contract,” Ross said.

“Now I need to prove that I’m worth investing in again, and it’s really exciting.

“It’s lit more of a fire in my stomach to set some bigger goals now.”
