The Newcastle Knights will toast the contribution women make to the game of rugby league in Women in League Round, with the club running a special competition to celebrate during Saturday's game.

As part of the celebrations, purple roses will be handed out at Hunter Stadium which puts fans in the running to win one of five personally signed jerseys.

HOW TO ENTER:

Fans at the game simply need to take a picture at the game at Hunter Stadium on Saturday with their Women in League purple rose and post it on Twitter or Instagram using any of three hastags including #WomenInLeague #StayTrue or #NRLKnightsBulldogs.

The best five entries will be selected to win a personally signed 2016 Newcastle Knights jersey.

There will be announcements made and messages on the big screen throughout game day to remind people to get their entries in for the competition.

As part of the celebrations, there will be a pamper station in the Fan Zone with massage therapists and tarot card readers on hand.

Additionally, the first 1,000 women through the gates will be treated to a ‘I love NK’ champagne cooler as the Knights toast the women in league.

Hunter Stadium catering is joining the party, with Gema supplying more than 1,000 chocolates for women in league.

Look out for the Red Energy cheerleaders who will be handing out both the coolers and chocolates at gates.

As part of the Play NRL Rewards program, a junior player can bring their mum for free to recognise Women in League Round.
