It’s not very often the opportunity comes along to learn football tips from a rugby league legend.

That's exactly what’s on offer at the Red Energy Danny Buderus Super Clinic with the Newcastle Knights’ very own Australian Kangaroo and State of Origin great heading out to Newcastle and Taree to mentor young rugby league players.

Registrations are now open for the exciting football clinics which are conducted for junior players between the ages of 6 and 12-years-old and incorporate skills and games in a fun, safe and controlled environment.

"The clinics are for everyone," Buderus said.

"The clinics cater for kids who want to be introduced to the game as well as others who have more developed skills and have been playing for longer.

"The game has moved in a lot of different directions where we have league tag, which is very popular with the girls, touch football and rugby league.

"You will learn the basics of all games as well as the defensive side of rugby league.

"It's all about fundamental skills of how to catch and pass as well as kicking.
