Chanel Mata'utia will be sidelined for 6-8 weeks after scan results confirmed a grade three medial ligament knee injury.
Jake Mamo has a grade two high ankle sprain (syndesmosis) and is expected to be out for four weeks.

EARLIER
Chanel Mata’utia suffered a knee (medial ligament) injury in Sunday’s loss on the Gold Coast.
He will require scans upon return to Newcastle and the results are expected in the next few days. He will miss at minimum next week’s match against the South Sydney Rabbitohs.
In reserve grade, Jake Mamo suffered an ankle injury. He too will require scans before the extent of his injury is known.
Mickey Paea (knee), Jack Stockwell (shoulder), Brock Lamb (shoulder) and Danny Levi (back) are expected to be available for selection in round two.
