The Newcastle Knights received a request from Joseph Tapine’s management to release him from the final year of his contract on Wednesday.
Club management has been through a process of exploring a range of options in relation to the release of Tapine.
This process in now complete and the Club can confirm Tapine has been released.
As per NRL guidelines, the terms of the release are to remain confidential however the Club is very satisfied with the outcome.
The Club wishes Tapine all the best for the future.
