It was an electric atmosphere when the Newcastle Knights attended the Auckland Nines fan event at Aotea Square on Friday.
Thousands of fans cheered on all 16 teams throughout the day at a specially created fan zone in Auckland's CBD, with many spotted donning their red and blue.
It was the last official duty before the tournament commences on Saturday at Eden Park, with focus now shifting to the nine-a-side format that kicks off the 2016 season.
