Newcastle put on its finest weather as the Newcastle Knights gathered for the second skills clinic held at the vibrant Summer in the City event.

Robbie Rochow took the Knights TV microphone to catch up with players Jeremy Smith and Akuila Uate as well as some excited young participants who were making the most of the sunshine in the Honeysuckle precinct.

The Knights, including Jake Mamo and Jack Stockwell, interacted with fans and signed autographs before testing the boys and girls with a series of fun football drills.

“I love seeing all the kids participate and having a big smile on their face,” Smith said.

“We’ve had the kids practicing their skills and improving. They love running through the (tackling) pads.”

The Summer in the City is one of many community events planned for 2016 giving the players a chance to interact and give back to the Club’s valued supporters.
