Newcastle Knights Junior Jayden Butterfield will continue his time in the green and gold jersey as a member of the Australian Schoolboys U18s side that defeated New Zealand 70-24 on Sunday.

The Australian representatives are now set to compete in the second test of the series at BMD Kougari Oval at Wynnum at 6.30pm on Thursday night.

The talented prop, who made his NYC debut with the Knights this season, captured attention in the comprehensive win at Suncorp Stadium for his charging ball carries and is expected to again provide power to the side’s forward pack.

The 17-year-old hails from Aberglasslyn and was selected in the representative side after strong form in the Australian Schoolboys Championships held in Wollongong in June.

Thursday’s second test game will be streamed on nrl.com live.
