The Grand Final matches of the Hunter TAFE Newcastle Knights All Schools Knockout are scheduled for Tuesday July 14 at Hunter Stadium.

Schools from Newcastle, Maitland, the Upper Hunter and North Coast have competed in the 2015 carnival contributing to record numbers.

“On last year’s numbers, the Knights have signed up 14 new teams, which is an equivalent of approximately 210 new players to our game,” Newcastle Knights NSW Cup Coach and Community Rugby League Manager Matt Lantry said.

“All up, 4500 kids between the ages of 10 and 16 years are playing rugby league between the months of May and June in the Knights Knockout competition.”

Grand final matches kick off at 9.30am at Hunter Stadium, with the day concluding at 5pm. Players from the Newcastle Knights including Kurt Gidley, Beau Scott, Tariq Sims and Jeremy Smith are scheduled to attend between 11am until 5pm.

Successful teams from Tuesday’s Knockout progress to the state carnival to be held in Penrith with the Primary division to be played on Monday July 27 and the Secondary carnival on Tuesday July 28.
