The New South Wales Blues defeated the Queensland Maroons 26-18 in front of 91,513 fans at the MCG on Wednesday night.

The Blues led at half time 14-10 but the Maroons hit back early in the second half before NSW squared the series with an eight-point win.

Beau Scott was the only Knight in action, however Tariq Sims warmed up for the Blues while Dane Gagai and Korbin Sims were in the Maroons squad.

Scott played out the match and all four players are expected back at Knights HQ on Thursday morning for training.

Scott is unlikely to train but will be assessed by the medical staff ahead of Sunday's match against the Cronulla Sharks at Hunter Stadium.

UNDER 18s ORIGIN

The Under 18s Blues, which included young Knights Brodie Jones, Brock Lamb and Jack Cogger, were defeated 22-18 by the Maroons in the curtain raiser match at the MCG.
