Coach Rick Stone has named a 22-man squad for Saturday’s final trial match against the Canberra Raiders at Seiffert Oval.
A number of players will make their first appearance of the pre-season, including Kurt Gidley at fullback and James McManus and Akuila Uate on the wings.
It is a welcome return from injury for McManus (ankle) and Uate (knee), who missed the back end of the 2014 season.
Beau Scott, Dane Gagai, Jeremy Smith and Tyrone Roberts, who played in last weekend’s NRL All Stars match, are all named in the starting 13.
Meanwhile Sione Mata’utia, who became the youngest player to represent Australia during the Four Nations tournament, is named in the centres.
