While it was a return to pre-season training on Monday for most of the team following the hristmas break, it was day one of pre-season training for Beau Scott as well as fellow Four Nations representatives David Fa’alogo and Joey Leilua.

“It was a good break and I had an extended break obviously, but it was great to spend it with friends and family,” Scott said on Monday morning at the University of Newcastle.

“I am actually looking forward to getting back into the routine and getting back to training with the boys, so it is good to be back.”

With his teammates back at pre-season training since November, Scott admitted he ‘did little bits and pieces’ during his time off.

“I tried to have a break mentally and obviously physically but you have to tick the body over a little bit,” he said.

After a memorable season for Scott personally, which included captaining the Country Origin side, winning a State of Origin series with NSW as well as representing the Kangaroos in the Four Nations tournament, he is now focused on season 2015.

“This is where it all starts, the boys have been back at it a couple of months now, and from what I have been told it has been a good pre-season so far,” Scott added.

“A few of the boys I haven’t even met yet, so it is exciting times at the Club to see what they bring.

“There are a fair amount of new faces and I look forward to playing alongside them.”
