Veteran Newcastle Knight Matt Hilder was farewelled at the Club's Awards Night celebrating a career of the highly regarded player both on and off the field. 

The 32-year-old debuted for the club in Round 1, 2008 against the Canberra Raiders. He has since made 101 NRL appearances for the Knights. 

Hilder capped off his career in the red and blue by captaining the NSW Cup Knights to the grand final against the Penrith Panthers this season.
