Newcastle Knights utility Tyler Randell made his NRL debut in Saturday's win over the Parramatta Eels at Hunter Stadium.
It was a late inclusion for Randell, who had just completed the NSW Cup win with 12-men, after Travis Waddell fell ill during the warm-up.
"Trav felt sick in the warm-up, he felt off colour and started vomiting," coach Wayne Bennett explained after the match.
"I think Tyler's pretty thrilled to be a part of it but has a pretty good head gash now."
Randell was forced from the filled late in the match and unable to return after a nasty head clash, which required stitching.
The 22-year-old became the 254th player to play for the Knights.
