Newcastle Knights' NYC coach Michael Crawley will depart the Club at season's end after securing an NRL assistant role for two years at the Canberra Raiders.

Crawley joined the Knights in 2012.

"We would like to thank Mick for his time at our Club and wish him all the best for the future," CEO Matt Gidley said on Tuesday.

"We look forward to Mick continuing to coach our Under 20s into the finals this year."

The Club is well advanced into the process of securing its NRL coach. Once this position is confirmed, the additional coaching staff will be determined.
