Newcastle Knights duo James McManus and Beau Scott have been named in NSW's 17-man squad for Origin III at Suncorp Stadium on Wednesday, July 9.

Scott has retained his position in the starting back-row after standout performances in the opening two matches, while McManus returns to the Blues side on the right wing for the first time since Game III last season.

On top of McManus' inclusion to replace the injured William Hopoate (shoulder), NSW coach Laurie Daley has also made a number of other changes for the final game in Brisbane.

Origin I hero Josh Morris has overcome his knee injury to play in the centres for the injured Michael Jennings, while Roosters forward Boyd Cordner will replace the suspended Anthony Watmough on the Blues' interchange bench.

The NSW side will depart Sydney for a five-day camp in Coffs Harbour tonight, before flying to Brisbane on Sunday to ramp up preparations for Wednesday's final Origin at Suncorp Stadium.
