The Newcastle Knights and Newcastle Jets have a strong commitment to the community and with the support of one of our major sponsors, Aurizon, we are proud to launch the Aurizon Volunteer of the Year program for 2014.
Now in its third year, the Volunteer of the Year program has donated more than $50,000 in cash prizes and ticketing to club volunteers who are the lifeblood of junior sport and help make the game great for children in the Hunter.
Nominating is easy. Simply visit the Newcastle Knights or the Newcastle Jets website and download and complete the official nomination form.
All involved in junior clubs are eligible to nominate from parents through to administration. It is a terrific way to reward club volunteers.
Every person nominated, as well as the nominator themselves receives two free seated tickets to a Newcastle Knights or Newcastle Jets game. They are also eligible to win $1000 for their junior club, all thanks to Aurizon.
