Newcastle Knights hooker Adam Clydsdale suffered a knee injury during training at Farrer High School on Friday however remains confident of being available for round one.

 

Early reports suggest a low level medial ligament strain following a collision at training.

 

Clydsdale was named on an extended bench for Saturday night's trial against the Canberra Raiders in Tamworth but now focuses on playing in round one.
