Newcastle Knights' five-eighth Jarrod Mullen had scans on his left hamstring following an injury in the Auckland Nine’s on Sunday.
The results have showed a potential hamstring avulsion.
Mullen is scheduled to see the surgeon on Monday.
The seriousness of the injury and therefore his recovery time will be determined post consultation with the surgeon on Monday.
