The Newcastle Knights has named a 20-man squad for Saturday night’s match against the First Nation Goannas at Hunter Stadium, which concludes the week-long Festival of Indigenous Rugby League.

Knights’ half-back Tyrone Roberts will captain the Knights side in the pre-season exhibition match.

It will be the first look at new recruits Michael Dobson, who has been named at five-eighth, and Matt Minto, who has been named on an extended bench as well as the return of forward Clint Newton.

Three Under 20s players will feature in the match, Sione Mata’utia at fullback, Jake Mamo on the wing and Joseph Tapine in the second-row. The trio have trained with the NRL squad over the summer.

NSW Cup forward Brenton Horwood has also been included on an extended bench.
