After months of speculation and plenty of talk, the NRL Draw has been officially released.

So how exactly did the Newcastle Knights fair?

Well overall, Knights' Members and fans should be extremely happy.

From blockbuster home clashes against the Melbourne Storm, Brisbane Broncos and the Sydney Roosters to a favourable run home, the stage is set for a bumper 2014.

In the opening 20 rounds, the Knights will also host two Friday night games, four Saturday games and four Monday games.

Lets breakdown the positives:

* The Knights will play five Sunday games at Hunter Stadium in the opening 20 rounds

Sunday football is a tradition in Newcastle, so that should ensure plenty of big crowds on our home turf.

* Six of the Clubs final eight games leading into the finals are at home at Hunter Stadium

From a football perspective, this should be a huge advantage at the backend of the season.

On the back of last years magical run to the finals, this draw could again work in the Clubs favour when it matters most.

* On top of some huge games at Hunter Stadium, the Knights will also have plenty of big clashes away from home

For loyal Queensland fans, the Knights has matches against the Cowboys in Townsville in round 5, the Broncos at Suncorp Stadium in round 24 and the Rabbitohs in Cairns in round 21.

* The Knights will be on the road for five of their seven games during the Origin period, but to counter this the Club also has their two byes during this period (round 11 and 17)

The Club will play the Warriors in Auckland after Origin 1, host the Cowboys after Origin 2 and take on the Sharks after Origin 3.

Another positive is the fact the Knights will play the Roosters in Sydney in round 14 without their Origin stars. In saying that though, this could be countered with the likes of James McManus, Kurt Gidley, Aku Uate and potentially Jarrod Mullen all selected for the Blues. Of course, Darius Boyd will take his place in the Maroons outfit.

All in all, Knights fans should be excited for a big 2014 season.

The Knights are nearing 12,000 Members for season 2014 and provide a number of Membership options to suit all needs. Corporate Hospitality options are also available.
