What is most exciting about being a Red Energy Newcastle Knights Cheerleader?

Game day! The atmosphere at McDonald Jones Stadium is unlike no other, and the Newcastle Knights Fans are amazing and so interactive. It is exciting to be a part of the Knights community and see them get excited for the game ahead when talking to them in the fan zone.  

What keeps you energised?

It is important to have sufficient energy to get me through the day and support training, so I always aim for enough sleep and eating whole foods, consisting of fruits and veggies.

What is your first ever memory of Rugby League?

Growing up in Cronulla, I have vivid memories of going to Shark Park with my dad and watching the game. I remember seeing the cheerleaders on the field, and from then, I knew that I always wanted to be a cheerleader.

Who is your favourite all-time Knight?

Danny Buderus is my favourite Knights player, I think he is the epitome of who a Knights player is, as he is involved in community not-for-profit organisations like the Mark Hughes Foundation, Westpac organisation and youth mentoring programs.

What is your must play workout music?

I either listen to house music or heavy rock when working out as they’re high energy and keep me motivated.

Who or what inspires you and why?

My parents inspire me as they have always been extremely supportive of me and encouraged me to chase my goals, and to not stop until I’ve achieved them. They made plenty of sacrifices for my sister and I so that we could achieve our goals, and both have selfless qualities and strong work ethics which have always been inspiring.

Who is your must follow Social Media Account?

I love following travel accounts on social media. I’m always thinking about my next holiday destination and have a large bucket list when it comes to travelling. My last travel destination was Canada, and I would love to travel to either New Zealand or Japan next!

What is one thing my teammates don’t know about me?

I used to live overseas when I was a kid, which is a very fortunate opportunity and provided a perspective on different cultures, and lots of exciting experiences.

“Everything Happens for a Reason.” It is a strong belief of mine and serves as a constant reminder that we will get to where we are meant to be, and to not stress over things out of our control and to enjoy life.
