The National Rugby League (NRL) Game Development team, in collaboration with the New South Wales Rugby League (NSWRL) and Hunter Junior Rugby League (HJRL), is excited to offer girls aged 6-12 years the chance to participate in a Girls Development Day on Sunday the 16th March at the Newcastle Permanent Centre of Excellence.
This is a fantastic opportunity for girls who are looking to play our great game for the first time and/or wishing to improve their confidence and fundamental skills, plus have some fun and make new friends.
Event Details:
For U5-U7s: Tag activities and games will be offered with a focus on fundamental skill.
For U8-U12s: Participants will take part in a structured, progressive program that focuses on fundamental skill, safe tackling and safe landing techniques. All delivered by accredited coaches. This will be followed by controlled, small-sided, non-competitive tackle games.
The day will be led by NRL, NSWRL, and HJRL staff, including experienced coaches and sports trainers. There is no need for club coaches or sports trainers to be present.
