Knights launch 2021 Boots for Brighter Futures initiative
The nib Newcastle Knights came together with the Cultural Choice Association for the Boots for Brighter Futures initiative yesterday. Inspired by the stories and artwork of local Aboriginal youths, the side were presented decorated boots for this weekend's Indigenous Round match against Manly. In a celebration of culture, the young adults and children painted the boots themselves and presented the boots to the players. The initiative aims to raise awareness towards Aboriginal youth suicide and was inspired by Knights player Connor Watson.
