The nib Newcastle Knights have teamed up with charity organisation Got Your Back Sista to say NO to domestic violence and YES to ending the silence.

Domestic Violence is prevalent in Australia and the single biggest driver of women in to poverty.

Got Your Back Sista aims to help women who have escaped domestic violence, gain the confidence, support and skills they need to be happy, obtain employment and thrive.

You can do your bit and join the charity on field at half time at the Knights match against the New Zealand Warriors at McDonald Jones Stadium this Saturday to stand against domestic violence in the community.

A $20 donation includes a ‘I say NO to domestic violence, we say YES to ending the silence’ t-shirt to wear on field at half time.

“When Got Your Back Sista approached the Club and we began to explore opportunities, partnering for a game day seemed the ideal way to help,” COO Wendy Carmichael said.

“Domestic violence is a major issue in our community and Got Your Back Sista's underlying goal is to see women and their children happy, thriving and living independently after escaping the trauma of domestic violence.

“It's a simple but very powerful aim that our Club proudly supports."
