Sam Stone was the Club’s youngest rookie of 2017, having just turned 20 at the conclusion of the season.

The rangy back rower played 16 NRL matches and his impressive form saw him selected for the Junior Kangaroos.

Like Luke Yates, his big pre-season saw him selected in Round 1, and the local junior went on to play five consecutive matches while still being eligible for the NYC competition.

A naturally sound defender, Stone is still capable of putting on plenty of size.

He will be aiming to do that in the 2018 pre-season, as competition for back row positions heats up with the arrival of Aidan Guerra.
