Twin towers, the Saifiti brothers, are building a reputation as an imposing force as they continue to pull off big numbers in run metres and tackle counts each game.

Off the bench, Jacob said it’s great to be able to notch up more minutes with his brother as they spur each other on to perform at their best.

“The last two games, Daniel and I have been playing a fair bit of time together and I think that has helped our game,” explained Jacob.

“We seem to play well when we are on together and we play off the back of our play the balls as well as in defence when we are hitting together.

“When Daniel lays that platform, in my head I have to go out and do that too.

“I don’t want to go out there and slow the ship down, I want to go out there and keep that momentum rolling for the team.”

And with every sibling, there’s always that little bit of competition.

“When we were growing up there’s a slight jab here and there about a tackle or who made the most metres,” smiled Saifiti.

“Besides that, we are supportive of each other and are both our own harshest critics.

“If I do something wrong, Daniel will 100 per cent say something to me and I would do the same thing for him.”

As both brothers continue to dominate in the middle, Jacob admits he’s happy to be finding his form at the back end of the season.

“I am finding that consistency now, that Daniel (Saifiti) has been finding in the last 18 months, so for myself I’m pretty happy but I am more stoked for the two wins,” he said.

“I think I have found my spot on the team and (Nathan) Browny has made it pretty clear what he wants me to do off the bench and now I know what I need to do.”

The 21-year-old’s focus will be on a burly forward pack at the Parramatta Eels this Friday night and especially the Eels’ own Nathan Brown.

“They have a lot of good forwards and I love watching Nathan Brown,” stated Saifiti.

“He is one of my favourite players at the moment, seeing what he and the other forwards in their team can do.

“They are a really aggressive style of forward pack and their form is really good as well so it will be a big challenge for our forwards.”

The Knights forward knows the Eels will be determined to record their seventh consecutive win to consolidate a spot in the top four.

“It is another step up again this week but Parramatta show their hunger each week,” Saifiti commented.

“They never look like they’re going to take a step back and I’m expecting the same this weekend.”

The Knights take on the Eels at ANZ Stadium Friday night, NYC kick-off at 3.45pm before NRL action at 6pm.
