It was another action-packed appearance from Daniel Saifiti in Round 11, as he scored a try and made 15 hit-ups.

He was more concerned with the loss against the Penrith Panthers though, and said it was the weight of possession that ended the team’s hopes in the end.

“We really tried to focus on our possession,” Saifiti told Knights TV in the sheds.

“In the first half it was 50-50 and we could stick to our game plan.”

That all changed in the second stanza though, as the away side piled on 30 points.

“After half time we just couldn’t build any pressure and when the opposition has 70 per-cent it’s hard to tackle because you’ve been defending so much,” Saifiti explained.

“They did the exact same thing against the Warriors last week and we expected that.

“That forward pass early in the second half really cost us, and it was hard to shift the momentum back after that.”

And while Saifiti got his first try of 2017 and the second of his fledgling career, he was typically humble about his effort.

“It was all good work from Danny (Levi)… I just did what I’m supposed to do and went under the posts," Saifiti explained.

“We were good last week and we need to try and take the positives out of this game.”

The team has a bye this weekend, before taking on the Melbourne Storm at AAMI Park next Friday night.

“A rest will do us good now, and we’ll need it coming up against a tough team like the Storm," Saifiti concluded.
