It is back-to-back wins for the NYC Newcastle Knights, as they put on a dominant display to defeat the Canberra Raiders 32-6 at McDonald Jones Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The Knights controlled most of the first half until Canberra scored in the final minute, but Newcastle managed to storm home in the second stanza with 24 unanswered points.

The first points came 10 minutes in as Knights forward Jack Johns off-loaded out wide to Kainoa Gudgeon as he dived over for Newcastle to lead 4-0.

In the 20th minute some flare on the right from centre Heath Gibbs awarded the Knights their second before a try in the final minute of the first half, Raiders’ Jack Murchie on the end of a precision grubber.

The Knights led 8-6 at the break.

In the 48th minute, Knights forward Zac Hosking crashed over for the try before minutes later it was Josh Ralph’s turn, grounding it through the middle to stretch the Knights lead 20-6.

Newcastle kept the momentum going and it was forward Sam McIntyre to add to the tally with Gudgeon booting the conversion for the home side to lead 26-6.

Ralph crashed over for his second with ten minutes to go, sealing the Knights win 32-6 over the Raiders.
