The Reserve Grade Newcastle Knights were defeated 30-18 by the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs at Cessnock Sports Ground on Saturday afternoon.
The Knights got first points via Lachlan Fitzgibbon and Tom Hughes extended the lead after six minutes. Kainoa Gudgeon then scored a double in the 18th and 22nd minute.
After leading 18-16 at half time, the Knights were held scoreless in the second half to record a 12-point loss.
