Reserve grade coach Simon Woolford has named a strong 18-man squad for the side's Round 1 match against the New Zealand Warriors.

NRL regulars such as Brendan Elliot, Sam Mataora and Tyler Randell will all start, while 19-year-old Nick Meaney gets first chance at fullback after an impressive pre-season.

The match kicks off at 11.45am (AEST) at Mount Smart Stadium.
