Rory Kostjasyn required a two-stage operation following a throat injury.

He successfully had the stage one operation on Monday, with a good outcome. The second stage of surgery is scheduled for early March.

He is likely to return to football six weeks following secondary surgery.

Meanwhile, Pauli Pauli saw a specialist this week following an MRI scan.

The results showed his injury was settling and he has now commenced off-feet cardio training.

He is expected to return to football in approximately 10 weeks.

There were no injuries to report following the Auckland Nines and the Tweed Heads trial.
