Coach Nathan Brown has named a 20-man squad for Saturday’s Round 16 match against the St George Illawarra Dragons at Hunter Stadium.

The squad is boosted by the return of Nathan Ross, Peter Mata’utia, Robbie Rochow and Chanel Mata’utia, all from injury.

Ross shifts to the wing in his return game, with Peter Mata’utia named in the centres. Rochow and Chanel Mata’utia are listed on an extended bench.

Mitch Barnett and Brendan Elliot retain their spots in the starting line-up after making their Club debuts in the Knights’ previous match.

Meanwhile, Dane Gagai lines up for the Maroons in State of Origin’s game two on Wednesday night and will need to pass a medical upon his return to the Knights later this week.

The Knights and Dragons will play for the Alex McKinnon Cup on Saturday, which is currently held by the Dragons after they won last year’s inaugural contest.

All three grades are in action once again, with the Under 20s kicking off at 10.40am before Reserve Grade at 12.40pm and NRL at 3pm.

GAME DAY INFORMATION

As part of partner’s nib match day partnership, in a Hunter Stadium first, an inflatable selfie ball will make its way around the crowd for people to capture their image that displays on the big screen. nib will also launch merchandise into the crowd throughout the day via the t-shirt cannons.

There will be a bucket collection for Damian Jobson, a local rugby league player who recently suffered a spinal injury, managed by Newcastle and Hunter Rugby League volunteers at Saturday’s match.
