Representative Round kicks off at Hunter Stadium on Friday night with an Australia v New Zealand double header, and there are plenty of Knights involved over the weekend for different teams.
Read on to find out why every game is a much watch from a red and blue point of view.
Jillaroos v Kiwi Ferns – Friday 5.20pm
Ruan Sims is the older sister of Knights Korbin and Tariq, and will be captaining the Jillaroos at Hunter Stadium on Friday evening.
A centre by trade, Ruan won the 2013 Women’s Rugby League World Cup, was a part of the 2010 Women’s Rugby World Cup squad that finished third and also works for the New South Wales Fire and Rescue service.
"It's just so amazing that it's being touted as a double header. It's two countries playing for pride on Friday night and it's going to be great just to get out there and get amongst it," Ruan told NRL.com.
With the Women’s Rugby League World Cup taking place again next year, there will be plenty of players eager to light it up on the big stage.
Kangaroos v Kiwis – Friday 7.50pm
While there won’t be any Knights in action, this will be the first time that the Kangaroos have played in Newcastle since 2011.
Some of the world’s best players will be on show at Hunter Stadium, and promising young Knights hooker Danny Levi has taken part in the Kiwis’ camp this week.
“I know Newcastle loves it footy, and for this game to be at Hunter Stadium, it’s pretty cool for the fans,” he said.
With the likes of Johnathan Thurston, Semi Radradra and Shaun Johnson set to play, it’s a must-watch game for any rugby league fan.
Junior Kangaroos v Junior Kiwis – Saturday 3.15pm
NYC and NSW Cup winger Ken Tofilau will be flying the red and blue flag in this match at Pirtek Stadium.
The 20-year-old New Zealander has already played at the international level at Under 18s, 17s and 16s level, and has spent most of his time in reserve grade so far this season.
In this fixture last year Valentine Holmes, Jackson Hastings, Tepai Moeroa and Te Maire Martin all played, so it’s obvious that this is the game to watch if you want to spot rugby league’s next big talent.
Fiji v Papua New Guinea – Saturday 5.35pm
This match will be played at Pirtek Stadium as well, and features Daniel Saifiti and Akuila Uate for the Fiji Bati.
Saifiti has enjoyed a meteoric rise since making his international debut last year, and now has six NRL games to his name as well as a try on debut.
Only 20-years of age, the giant prop still has plenty to learn and will gain invaluable experience this weekend.
"This year, now I have a few NRL games under my belt, I think I really have a chance to rip in and show I deserve to be here," Saifiti told Knights TV.
Uate meanwhile will be looking to continue his strong record for Fiji, with 13 tries in 11 games.
He hasn’t played for Fiji since 2013, and will be eager to put in a strong showing for the homeland that he holds dear.
Tonga v Samoa – Saturday 7.40pm
This match will finish off the day of international football at Pirtek Stadium, and pits two fiercely passionate rugby league nations against one another.
Knights prop Mickey Paea is 18th man for Tonga, and if he plays will come up against giants Sam Kasiano and Junior Paulo amongst others.
Both sides have plenty of size and strength across the board, and with diehard fans supporting the two nations, there will be a great atmosphere at the game.
Cook Islands v Lebanon – Sunday 3pm
This game at Belmore Sports Ground will feature towering forward Uiti Baker, who has been a regular in the Knights’ reserve grade side this year.
The Cook Islands have won all three times these two sides have met, while Lebanon will be looking to prepare for their 2017 Rugby League World Cup campaign.
Country v City – Sunday 4pm
Tariq Sims is representing the Knights in this fixture, and will be looking to continue building his form ahead of State of Origin.
It’s always an entertaining match between these two sides, and Sims is a fiercely passionate country boy.
While he’s named to start on the bench, the Gerringong Lions junior will undoubtedly bring his usual fireworks and ferocity to the game.
Country have won the last three of these fixtures, and the regional centre of Tamworth will be cheering them on for a fourth victory.
