Forward Joseph Tapine has advised the Newcastle Knights he will be departing the Club at the conclusion of the 2016 season.
The 21-year-old joined the Knights in 2013 and has played 20 NRL games since making his debut in 2014.
"Our Club made Joseph a significant offer that took into consideration his career to date, potential and the current player market, and while disappointed with the outcome we are comfortable with our process,” CEO Matt Gidley said.
“We understand how difficult a decision this has been for Joseph and wish him the best for the future."
