The Newcastle Knights won their final pool match to advance to the quarter finals on day two of the Auckland Nines competition at Eden Park.
First up the Knights defeated the Wests Tigers 21-16 before the Knights were defeated by the Parramatta Eels 12-8 in the quarter finals.

The Knights, who have no major injuries to report, return to Newcastle on Monday and will commence preparations for a trial match against Parramatta/Wentworthville on Saturday February 13.
