One of the most anticipated Club events of the year, the Newcastle Knights' annual Members launch turned the team's training headquarters into a field of red and blue on Saturday.

Hundreds of passionate Members converged at Wests Mayfield for the exclusive event that gives supporters an exciting opportunity to celebrate the imminent start of the football season and chance to interact with the players.

The event kicked off with the introduction of the 2016 playing squad, including new recruit Pauli Pauli who took part in his first training session that morning.

The players worked their way around fun activity stations including a photograph booth, petting zoo, autograph table, skills clinic, inflatable obstacle course and jumping castles.

"It's always a fantastic day," Newcastle Knights CEO Matt Gidley told Knights TV.

"We're so fortunate we have such great support from our Members.

"There's huge numbers of our Members who have turned up today to meet the players, get some autographs, meet new players and the coach and also to have a bit of fun on the jumping castle and at the petting zoo.

Gidley said he was thrilled with the exceptional turnout from the Club's loyal fanbase and looks forward to a positive year.

"Everyone is excited about football being on the horizon...and there's a lot of enthusiasm about the year and our season ahead," he said.

While the annual Members launch event is enjoyed by Members, it's also an event the players embrace for the chance it gives them to get to know and thank some of their biggest supporters.

"We get to interact and get to know them on a personal basis," Knight Nathan Ross said.

"These days are spectacular for us to get to know them and for them to get to know us."

Meanwhile, for Knight David Bhana, the Knights' Member launch was his first official community event since arriving at the Club at the start of the pre-season.

"I'm really enjoying it, it's great to have all the fans come out to support us," he said.
